Elva died in Portland, due to complications from cancer surgery. She was employed by Ivey's Motor Lodge. She is survived by her parents, Trueman B. and Elva (Hoyt) Jones Sr; a son, Ansel Warren Jones; brother, Trueman B. Jones Jr.; niece, Shelly Rae (Jones) Clark; nephew, William B. Jones.

Ervin worked in Air Traffic Control most of his career at Brainard Airport and Bradley Airport, retiring in 1986 from Bradley as an Air Traffic Control Supervisor.
He is survived by Marjorie (Dickison), his wife of over 56 years;, his children, Judith McNally of Enfield, Debra Gratton and Roger Lenentine; eight grandchildren; two great grand sons; sisters, Dawn Black and Mavis Lenentine. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Jean (Freeman) Lenentine; a brother, Franklin Lenentine.

Ethel,98, died in Houlton after a lingering illness. Born January 9, 1909 in Littleton, she was the second daughter of Mary (Watson) and Willie Henderson.

She graduated from Houlton High School in 1925 and received her BA degree from Colby College in 1929, afterward teachingat Houlton junior and senior high schools from1929-1941. In 1941 she married Lawrence Ferguson of Millinocket. They moved to Falmouth and then Concorn, NH, returning to Houlton following retirement in 1968.

Ethel was a member, since 1919, of the Houlton United Methodist Church and a membe of the Rachel Circle. She was a past member of American Association of University Women (AAUW); a member of the Order of Eastern Star; past president and regional chairmen of the Houlton Regional Hospital Auxilary; and a lifetime member of the Houlton Garden Club.

She is survived by her daughter Jean and husband James Cole;two grandchildren, Meredith and her husband Don Jesse od Middleton, Ohio; Ben Cole and his wife Crystal of Houlton; three great-grandchildren, Colby Ferguson Jesse and Faith Rebecca-Jean Jesse of Middleton, Ohio; Dawson James Cole of Houlton; and a very special friend, Jane Stiles of New Limerick. She was predeceased by her husband Lawrence; her sister Edith Gray; two grandchildren, Christoperand Melinda Cole.

He passed away a local hospital, after a courageous battle with a lengthy illness. Eugene served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the 8th Infantry Regiment 4th Infantry Division and received the Army of Occupation Medal - Germany. He was a part time grocery clerk at A&P grocery store in Houlton and also worked for Birdseye Division, Caribou, and Fitz's Bottling, Houlton. Eugene worked seasonally for the potato harvest as a potato picker, as well as on his family farm. He traveled to Boston and Connecticut to look for work, but eventually returned to Houlton. Eugene was a devout parishioner of St. Mary's of the Visitation Church. He is survived by one sister, Margaret Ochmanski; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Gertrude (Garrity) McMonigle; by four sisters, Mildred, Alice, Anna and Mary; and three brothers, Louis, James and Francis.

Evelyn E. Grant, 85, Houlton, passed away Friday September 4, 2015 at a Houlton hospital. She was born in Houlton on March 30, 1930. Evelyn grew up in Houlton and graduated from Houlton High School. She then went to work at Fishman’s Mall. Evelyn met and married David L. Grant, Sr. and together they raised their two children David, Jr. and Joyce. She was a very hard worker cleaning houses for many years. Evelyn was a life long member of the Church of the Good Shepherd and helped prepare the Rotary lunches in Watson Hall for many years. Evelyn and Dave enjoyed lots of good times at Skitacook Lake with their family. She was a great cook and beautiful seamstress making a lot of her own clothes and things for her family. Evelyn is survived by her daughter Joyce Russell of Houlton, her son David L. Grant, Jr. and his wife Theresa of Linneus; four grandchildren Stephen Scott, Chantelle Condon, Cindy Grant and William Oswald; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband David L. Grant, Sr., her son-in-law Charles Russell, four brothers Arnold Smith, Merlin Smith, Arthur Smith and Gene Smith, three sisters Etta Spellman, Thelma Guy and Ida O’Donnell.

She passed away at her residence. She worked as an editor at Burrell's Clipping Service, Presque Isle, for 20 years, and worked at Friends Market for two years.Marie was a member of Mapleton Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Hare Jr.; her daughter, Rebecca; her mother, Doris Hogan; three brothers, Joe, Mark and David; four sisters, Jeannie Flewelling, Cathy Schmiedel, Lynn Vail and Vicki Hagerman; a brother-in-law, Gerald Hare; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father, Leon Hogan.

F. William “Bill” Hardy Jr., 66, died after an illness April 11, 2015, at his home in Houlton. He was born April 28, 1948, in Winchester, MA, the son of F. W. “Sonny” and Mary L. (Lee) Suitter. Bill graduated from Houlton High School, Class of 1966. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1970. He held a B.S. from Ricker College and was a longtime member of the American Legion and B.P.O.E. Bill is survived by his mother, a stepdaughter, Melissa Beaulieu, a daughter, Amber Hardy, siblings, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, his wife, Denise, and a brother, Robert.

Franklin T. Massey Devoe 53, Houlton, passed away August 17, 2015 at his residence. He was born June 6, 1962, the son of Gilbert T. and Patricia (Sacobie) Devoe. Franklin was a member of the Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians. He loved movies and had a large collection of DVDs. Franklin is survived by several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and his oldest sister.

Garth F. Golding 69, Littleton, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 15, 2015. He was born July 7, 1946 in Houlton, the son of John and Marie (Crouse) Golding. He loved both his family and church family at the Lake Road Free Will Baptist Church and his community. He will be sorely missed by his wife as well as his children and granddaughter. Garth was a graduate of Houlton High School, Class of 1964 where he was an active member of the FFA and served as an officer. In 1970 he married Nancy Walton. He was a well-respected farmer, mechanic and trucker who always had time to listen to whatever was on your mind. In his truck driving days he answered to the call of “chicken inspector” over the CB. He enjoyed fishing, watching wildlife, talking with friends, trucking and spending time with his family. Garth loved being in the fields and working in his shop. He was a devout Christian and member of the Lake Road Free Will Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and past trustee.

Garth was also a member of the Monticello Fish & Game Club and a member of the Southern Aroostook Agricultural Museum, past officer of the Maine Truckers Association. He also served in the Army National Guard. Garth leaves behind his wife of 44 years Nancy Walton-Golding; two daughters Stephanie and husband Ryan Umphrey of Washburn, Rachael and husband Skip Davis and special granddaughter Sadie of Guilford, Maine. Garth also leaves behind four siblings Preston and wife Saundra of Baltimore, MD, Brent and wife Linda of Littlestown, PA, Kerry and wife Sandy of Littleton, Cynthia and husband Daryl Garland of Jackson, TN; a sister-in-law Susan and husband Keith Nason of Littleton; mother-in-law Mabel Walton; four close nieces and nephews Stephen and wife Darcie Nason of Monticello, Rob Nason of Hermon, Holly and husband Tyler Henderson of Falmouth, Heather Golding of Littleton, along with several other special nieces and nephews. Garth had many friends, but especially will be missed by Lynn Foster, Gary Cullins, Mike Mills, Mike Hogan, Colby Shaw, Dana Wright, Barry Campbell, David Henderson, Bill Tardy, Harold Hoyt, Danny Cote, Herschel Conlogue and Pastor Carl DeMerchant. He was predeceased by his parents and his father-in-law Robert Walton.
