We’re working on the plans for the class of 73’s 45th reunion. Yes, it’s been that long, and no we’re not yet old!
WHAT
We plan to have a Friday night informal event, a Saturday evening semi-formal event (casual dress), and a Sunday potluck/picnic to provide a variety of events and a chance for as many as possible to spend time with friends and classmates.
WHEN
The dates are August 3, 4, and 5. The events will be open to our significant others and friends who graduated a few years before and after us so we can share the fun with them and help lower the per person costs.
WHERE
The Saturday event will be held at the Westchester Knights of Columbus Hall with a tentative time of 6:00 pm to midnight.
There will be a DJ, a buffet dinner, and a no-host bar.
If anyone is interested in providing some live music for part of the night, please let us know. We don’t want anyone to be burdened with playing for too much of the evening, but we welcome those who volunteer.
COST
Cost for the Saturday evening will be $50 per head.
Cost for the Friday and Sunday events will be determined by the committee organizing them, with a goal of limiting costs to what is needed to cover any out-of-pocket expenses of the organizers.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
We are looking for people to coordinate the Friday night event at an appropriate public venue and the Sunday picnic/potluck at a local park.
If someone has the ability to get a discounted group rate at a local hotel, that will help those who need to spend a night or two there.
We need people to share the information with others not on social media.
RSVP
We need to start getting a head count for the events and to collect money for the Saturday event.
Evelyn Leon Cockrell is the lead for the Saturday event and we're working on how to submit payment.
We’re looking forward to a great weekend and let’s make this another event to remember.

For those of you who LOVE to wait until the last minute, your checks must be post-marked by August 10th. Otherwise you must pay at the door. (But don't wait to pay at the door. How can we make sure you have a SEAT and FOOD If we don't know you're coming?)
We also got a special parking rate of $10 for self-parking. (standard rate is $27 for self-parking... are they nuts?) And we got $25 for VALET (If you MUST... standard rate for Valet is $34). Don't let anyone at the desk tell you any different. It's in our CONTRACT.
