Georgia Military Veterans’ Hall of Fame (GMVHOF) 2019 Inductees

The GMVHOF Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Colonel (Ret) Paul Longgrear, the Board of Directors, and all previous Hall of Fame Inductees and Nominators take great pride and pleasure in extending our sincere congratulations to the below named Military Veterans on their well-deserved selection for induction into the GMVHOF. Their 15 Nomination Packets, along with 143 other Nomination Packets from the years of 2017, 2018, and 2019 were evaluated and scored by the GMVHOF Independent Selection Committee which is comprised of ten highly honorable and dedicated Georgia Veterans. This evaluation and selection process was done in total secrecy and absolutely void of any outside influence. We know that you will be proud to know that their sterling active duty and/or reserve component duty record and post military life served them well and gained for them this rare and noble honor.

The GMVHOF Class of 2019 is the seventh annual class inducted since its inception in 2013. Since 2013, including this class, a total of 115 Georgia Veterans will have been inducted out of 306 Nominations. The numbers inducted by year are: 2013 - 18; 2014 - 16; 2015 - 15; 2016 - 17; 2017 - 17; 2018 - 17; 2019 - 15 = 115.

The mission of the GMVHOF is (1) to honor Georgia Military Veterans; (2) to educate Georgia citizens, especially young Americans, of the sacrifices for freedom; and (3) to inform the public of the Inductee's outstanding accomplishments. The three categories that make up the GMVHOF are VALOR, ACHIEVEMENT, and SERVICE. The Bylaws of the GMVHOF require that no more than ten may be selected for VALOR and no more than five may be selected from the combined categories of ACHIEVEMENT and SERVICE for an annual total of fifteen. If Medal of Honor Recipients are nominated, they are automatically inducted and are in addition to the fifteen. The 2019 Class is comprised of the following: VALOR - 10, ACHIEVEMENT - 1; SERVICE - 4.

On Saturday, 2 November at the Seventh Annual GMVHOF Induction Ceremony & Banquet, each inductee will be presented with the Georgia Military Veterans’ Hall of Fame Medallion, Certificate, and Challenge Coin. The list of the 15 Inductees of the GMVHOF 2019 Class are:
