Jeff Glover

Submission wrestler, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt.

What is Jeff Glover known for?

Jeff Glover, also known as "The Pipelayer," was born on April 15, 1983, in East Los Angeles, California. Renowned as a submission wrestler and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, this talented alumnus of San Marcos High School, Santa Barbara, California, embarked on a stellar career, characterized by his playful, unorthodox style of grappling.

Over the course of his career, Glover has demonstrated his prowess in numerous exhibition matches. Notable among his victories were his triumphs over seven-time World black belt champion, Caio Terra, at the inaugural World Jiu-Jitsu Expo, and six-time black belt World champion Robson Moura at the 2011 ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship.

Glover's playful and unorthodox style of grappling has often been likened to wrestling a monkey or a cat, as described by Chris Haueter after their super-fight in 2012. Beyond his skills on the mat, Glover has also served as a color commentator for Metamoris III and IV and has participated in surprise competitions.

He's no stranger to winning titles and awards either. Glover is a proud winner of the ADCC World Championship in 2011 and the World No-Gi Championship in 2007 and 2008. During the Pan-American Championship in 2005 and 2006, he clinched the featherweight title in the brown belt category.

As of 2012, Glover, a 27-time Grapplers Quest champion, held the best record in the event's history, having lost only four times over eight years of active competition.

No matter if it's gi or no-gi competition, Jeff Glover has truly left his mark on the grappling world. An East Los Angeles native who trained and fought out of Goleta, California, Glover's achievements are a testament to his skill, strength, and remarkable grappling style.
