I commissioned in the AF through ROTC in April 2001. Went to pilot training in Florida and Oklahoma. First assignment was flying KC-135 Stratotankers in Spokane, WA. After that, went to Texas to be an instructor pilot at pilot training in the T-6A. Now, I'm flying tankers again and stationed in the United Kingdom. Love it!
I've flown missions all over the world and have served in Operations Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan), Iraqi Freedom, Odyssey Dawn, and United Protector (Libya). Additionally, I've had temporary duty assignments to the US embassies in Lima, Peru, and Bogota, Colombia.
It's been hard to be away from the family sometimes, but it's been a great experience and also very rewarding!
