A group of about 30 classmates and spouses met in Las Vegas August 23 & 24. There were a number of new attendees, but fun was held by all. There were a few winners (no names) that punctuated the get together.
Since there will be a 55 year reunion in 2019, the group discussed having the next one in 2018 in Las Vegas, which will be the last being planned by the current team, leading to the big 55th year reunion.
Anyway fun had by all!!!

Alumni Help Needed
Hello, my name is Kai Yoshioka. I am a senior at Roosevelt High School and a Life Scout from Troop 33. I am currently planning to do my Eagle Project with the Special Education Department of Kalani High School.
Kalani High School's current plant holders are rotting and without an effective irrigation system. My project entails assembling eight large planter boxes and installing an irrigation system. By doing this, the Special Education program will have a thriving garden that will teach the students skills such as gardening. And since vegetables and herbs grown in their garden will be used in the school cafeteria, Kalani High School students will benefit through this project in a tasty, healthy way
The planter boxes will be made of Veranda Decking, which is a composite decking material made of wood and plastic. The plastic protects the wood from termite damage and decay, and the wood protects the plastic from sun damage. Unfortunately, these materials are costly. Since the materials estimate to cost a little under $3,000, I have requested for donations from Home Depot. I would like funding if I do not receive these materials as donations.
