Sandy passed away suddenly at the Maine Medical Center of what is believed to have been a heart attack. She graduated from the University of New England with a degree in human services. For over 20 years she was the manager for the Friendship Motor Inn in Scarborough. Most recently she was a literacy teacher for the primary grades at the Old Blue Point School in Scarborough. She was also the creator Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Steven Bailer of Scarborough; her a son, Ryan Bailer; and a daughter, Grace Bailer.
