Please join us on Saturday, November 19th, 2022 at 5:30 PM at the Birdsboro Fire Company for the 12th year celebrating the 1970's Alumni and attendees of Daniel Boone High School in Birdsboro, PA. This year, the class of 1972 will be celebrating their 50th reunion and the class of 1977 will be celebrating their 45th reunion. We are hoping for good representation for these milestone celebrations.
We have some exciting changes in store this year. Read on to find out what they are!
PLEASE NOTE: ANYONE WHO ATTENDED OR GRADUATED ANYTIME FROM 1970 TO 1979 IS INVITED TO ATTEND.
This year the cost per person has remainded at $40.00, while still being able to provide a quality buffet. Checks MUST be made payable to "The Daniel Boone 1970's Reunion" and mailed to DBHS 1970's Reunion, c/o Cindy Lafferty Kennedy, 521 W Neversink Road, Reading, PA 19606. All checks MUST be received by November 4th, 2022. If you are married, PLEASE include your maiden name and EVERYONE PLEASE include your graduation year(s). PLEASE NOTE: We WILL NOT be accepting ANY payments at check in.
As usual, a meet, mingle and reacquaint will start the evening off at 5:30 PM. Welcoming announcements and a blessing for the evening will begin promptly at 6:15 PM. The buffet will be served beginning at 6:30 PM. This year, we have Catering by John Lowe. The meal will include salad, roast sirloin, chicken piccata, baked penne pasta, roasted new potatoes, green beans and marinated spring vegetables, bakery fresh rolls and coffee and tea service. And, let's not forget the variety of mini desserts. Soda is included in the cost of the evening. A full cash bar will be available with 16 oz glasses of beer for $2.00 and a pitcher for $5.00. A selection of wine and mixed drinks will be available at various prices.
Our music this year is being provided by DJ Corey Thomas. Mingle/cocktail music will be played from 5:30 PM to 6:15 PM. Dinner music from 6:15 PM until 7:15-7:30 PM, then party/dance music until 11:30 PM.
Our photographer this evening is again Serena. Class photos will be taken on the stairs beginning at approximately 7:30 PM.
This year, we thought it would be fun to try a THEME night. If successful, we are hoping to have a different fun theme each year. Participation is NOT mandatory. This year, the theme we chose is THE 70'S...DUH!!! So, if you'd like to participate, get out your gold chains, peace signs, head bands, gogo boots, tie dye clothing, flowers, hip huggers, bell bottoms, gaucho pants, platform shoes...whatever!!! LET'S HAVE SOME FUN WITH THIS!
Please come and join the fun! This is a great night to catch up with old friends, make new ones and create memories. The Crüe is extremely excited for this year. We are hoping to see many classmates who have attended in the past, and new classmates attending for the first time.
We do our best to obtain email addresses for classmates, however, that isn't always possible, and unfortunately, some email addresses I have are no longer valid. Therefore, an event page will be created on Facebook. The Evite will also be posted on classmates.com and https://alumniclass.com. In addition, on Facebook, it will be posted on the DB Alumni page, my timeline and The DBHS 1970's Reunion Page, (which, if you haven't already done so, please check out, "like" and "follow" the page). If you know someone interested in attending who may not have received the Evite or is not on social media, please call or text Cindy at 610-8558-7299 (please leave a message and your call will be returned ASAP if necessary) OR send an email to Cindy at "the70scrue@hotmail.com". You can also contact any Crüe member with information, questions or concerns. Please join us at the Birdsboro Fire Company for the 11th year (minus 1) celebrating the 1970’s Alumni of Daniel Boone High School on Saturday, November 20th, 2021.
This year, the classes of 1971 and 1976 are celebrating their 50th and 45th reunions respectively. Since we could not celebrate last year, we are also giving a shout out to the classes of 1970 and 1975, celebrating their 50th and 45th reunions respectively.
PLEASE NOTE: ANYONE WHO ATTENDED OR GRADUATED ANYTIME FROM 1970-1979 IS INVITED TO ATTEND.
The cost per person will be $40.00 again this year. Checks MUST be made payable to “The Daniel Boone 1970’s Reunion and sent to DBHS 1970’s Reunion, c/o Cindy Lafferty Surran, 521 W Neversink Rd., Reading, PA 19606. PLEASE NOTE: Due to the state of the state with the pandemic, no checks will be deposited until the beginning of November. We should know by then if we have to cancel. In the event we do cancel, your check will be shredded and I will send you a confirmation email informing you.

The evening will begin at 5:30 PM with a 45 minute meet, mingle and reacquaint. Welcoming announcements and the blessing will begin promptly at 6:15 PM. A buffet dinner will begin at 6:30 PM and will include Roast Beef au jus, Stuffed Chicken Breast, Vegetarian Lasagna, corn, honey glazed carrots, Cole slaw, rolls, butter, coffee and desserts. Soda is included in the cost of the evening. Again this year, there will be a full cash bar. Beer is $2.00/16 oz glass, $5.00/pitcher. Wine and mixed drinks will also be available at various costs.
Music will again be provided by Class of ‘74 alum Richard Weilacher of TGB Entertainment. Dancing will begin at approximately 7:30 PM and continue until 11:30 PM. Class photos will be taken starting at approximately 7:30 PM. Please listen for your class to be called, and watch for your class poster to be displayed.
Since were unable to party last year, the Crüe is especially excited to see everyone. We are hoping for an EXCEPTIONAL turnout, and look forward to another fun and exciting year. At this point, masks are optional. If you are more comfortable wearing a mask, then feel free to do so.

Anyone who graduated from Daniel Boone in the 70's will want to come out as we gather for some awesome conversation and memories, great food and excellent music. This is our third year celebrating the DB alumni from the 70's. It gets bigger and better every year. Last year, the ONLY class NOT represented was 1970. So, come on out, see some old friends, make some new friends and have a BLAST. Hope to see you there!!!
