I started in the Air Force as a Aircraft Armament Technician. As a weapons troop I worked of F-111's and F-15's in such places as Idaho, Holland Germany, Spain, Italy and Arizona. After 10 years of loading bombs and missiles I decide to fly and became an Aerial Gunner on the MH-53 Pave Low helicopter. I have been to Korea, The Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Okinawa, England, Germany, Holland, Norway, Spain, France, Italy, Poland, Latvia, Russia, Denmark, Belgium, Hungary, Romania, Turkey, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Albania, Kosovo, Croatia, and I'm sure I missed a few also...oh yea I've also had to live at sea on various Navy ships.
I have one of the best jobs out there and I'm still flying even though I'm and Chief!

Joselito (Lito) Hernandez
Class of 1983
Marine Corps, 20+ Years
Lito retired from the Marine Corps after 20 years of service. He was an infantryman and held key leadership positions from Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant to Platoon Commander. He has led combat ready Marines in the state of Bahrain and his platoon was part of the security force of Naval Support Activity Bahrain, which is headquarters of the Fifth Fleet. His platoon was responsible for protecting 3,500 American lives and property on a daily basis. A squad of his Marines played a vital role in the security, safety and recovery of the USS Cole in Yemen after it was attacked. Lito has extensive training and experience in physical security, force protection, tactical response, counter-espionage and anti-terrorism methods and responses. Lito has an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Criminal Justice Science from Sinclair Community College.

Michael B. Griffith

Air Force, 4 Years
Spent 4 years as an electronics instructor. One of the first five selected to teach the Madar System on the C-5A. Taught navigation systems on the F-4 and the F-111. During the last six months of service was placed as head of the testing division. Except for basic in Texas, all time was spent at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, Ms. Lucky enough to be there when hurricane Camille blew through in 1969. Left Air Force to return to civilian employment with US Department of Labor as Investigator.

Currently serving in a full-time capacity as the Unit Readiness NCO for B Battery, 1-134th Field Artillery Regiment.

Stan Hazlip

Stan Hazlip joined the Army when he was 17. He spent 11 weeks of basic combat training in Fort Jackson, South Carolina, attended the Military Medical Academy in Texas for 18 weeks and volunteered to serve in Panama. He was stationed in Fort McCoy, Wisconsin before he was deployed to Kuwait and is currently serving in Iraq as a Combat Medic. He is expected to return in June 2008.
