Barbara Potym Makarevich (married to Gene Makarevich, another WB alum) passed away in 2002. Barb was a superb flutist and former member of the Univ. of Illinois Symphonic Band. She was admired by the local youth of the Mecklenberg county, NC (Statesville) where she was a community leader in numerous student development programs and initiatives.
