About	Brenda Flowers Thomasson, 71 of Vinton, VA went home to be with her precious Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 22, 2026 surrounded by her husband of 54 years and her two girls. She was an amazing Wife and Mother. She always did everything in her power to make sure her family was taken care of and didn't do without. She truly had a heart of gold and is now walking on streets of gold in Heaven as she was a humble servant of the Lord. She lived a life defined by compassion, generosity, and genuine concern for others. Family and friends knew they could count on her for encouragement, a listening ear, and words of comfort. She celebrated life's joys with those she loved and stood beside them through its challenges. More than anything, Brenda treasured her family. She created lasting memories through her love, guidance, and unwavering support. Her warmth filled every gathering, and her presence made people feel welcome and cared for. On the night she passed, her daughters remarked that they had lost their biggest fan. Brenda never got over the death of her parents as she grieved that loss every day, but she is with them once again. Brenda was welcomed into heaven by her parents, Thomas "Buddy" S. Flowers Sr. and Ruby and her parents-in-law, Paul and June Thomasson, uncles Charles "Chuck" Maddox, Grover Carter and Ray Hawks and many other special family members and friends. She was also greeted by her precious felines and some special grand-dogs. She is survived by her husband and soul mate of 54 years, Clayton "Pete" Thomasson whom she loved endlessly until her last breath, her daughters Holli Holdren and Heather Caldwell (Jason), her grandchildren Adam Holdren (Skylar) and Landon Caldwell, her siblings Thomas "Tommy" S. Flowers, Jr. (Judy), Sandra Whitlock, nieces/nephews Christy Flowers (Jeremy), Thomas S. Flowers, III (Kaia), Darin Whitlock (Darcy) and Devin Whitlock, her aunts Shirley Carter, Mary Hawks and Della Maddox, her sisters-in-law Connie Jones (Larry) and Gina Wilson (Ricky) and many other special family members. A special thank you to her niece-in-law, Deana Spradlin for her love and care during Brenda's recent hospital visits. A visitation will be held at Oakey's Vinton Chapel on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Memorial service to be announced at a later date.
