Gosh life takes its turns. After graduation I worked at Elbrus that summer ( Thankyou to Charlene Hines and family) I earned enough to buy a 1955 Chevy ( with tuck and roll Mon) My dad had contacted Mr Beebe, yes Ruth and Margaret’s dad, to be on the lookout for a safe car for me. I loved that car driving to Orange Coast College, then Long Beach Business school . I learned Dental Assisting and did that on and for for 13 years. Married way too young at 18. We did buy a house in Garden Grove and had three children. I decided I needed to go back to school and did obtain my RN. I loved working at St Joseph’s in Orange. Eventually we moved to Oceanside when the children were grown. First marriage ended in divorce after 32 years. I remarried nine years later to a man who grew up in Orange. We found we had common friends and what a joy that was. He was a Senior Civil Engineer for NAVAC San Diego and his responsibilities were airfields and bridges on the Pacific Rim. Trust me I never missed a trip to Washington state or Hawaii. Kids all grown, my eldest passed away from complications of Diabetes. Two others here in Oceanside. My only grandchild has been a total joy. She had 14 years of ballet, played the flute and has finished her AA in business administration. I hope she continues on for her BS, who knows. She has been a great gal with very nice friends.

It’s been great to stay connected with Jeanie Collins (Bentley in our yearbook). I miss Charlene Hines as she passed in 1991.Barbara Willisford also passed in 2024 I believe. I have seen Barbara Pontius a bit, also Donalda, but she has moved to Las Vegas! Ann Marie Mazurowski and I also keep in touch and I would enjoy seeing any of you!
