Class of 1962 - 62nd Reunion & Turning 80

Hi classmates. There is a new development in our plans for the reunion on June 9th at the Crest. Because we are expecting a crowd of about 40, the manager would like us to have a buffet instead of everyone ordering off the menu. He said the kitchen is rather small and everyone could get fed much quicker if we have a buffet set up for around 3:00 that afternoon.
Because of this new development, we will need an exact count for those of you who plan on eating that afternoon. The money will be collected ON THAT DAY. We are responsible for paying for the count we give, so if you aren’t sure you can make it, please let us know. Total cost per person is $18.00. Here is the breakdown:
$12.50 per person; 7% tax $.88; gratuity of 20% $2.50; and $2.00 per person for the pavilion rental of $100.
Our committee will pay whatever cost is not met for the pavilion as we would like to keep the price as reasonable as possible. Of course, if you have a special dietary need, the Crest will accommodate you.
We are hoping this won’t deter you from joining us that day to celebrate the 62nd class reunion and our turning 80 this year.

Hi everyone!!
Linda Williams and I have been working on a few details for our 50th reunion. Linda called around the area for a venue and because of covid-19 there are very few dates available anywhere. She was able to get Friday night the 27th of August at Storrowton. They will accommodate 75 to 150 people. We also thought since it’s a Friday night maybe there will be a lot of overnight guests, so it might be fun to do a breakfast in the morning at the Ranch Golf Club. If anyone wanted to play golf we could do that after breakfast. I was a member for quite a few years so I would talk to the pro and put something together as the date gets closer. I hope this date will be good for everyone but there really isn’t much to choose from. Take care for now and if there’s any other updates I will be sure to post them.

Cindy (Sutter) Bourque and Al Goodhind have been gracious enough to step forward to begin planning for our celebration.
Our evening, on Saturday, October 8th, will begin with social time at 5:00pm, buffet dinner and dancing at 7:00pm.
In addition, we will need a reply as to whether you plan to take the tour of the newy-constructed West Springfield High School on Friday afternoon, October 7th.
Payable check info for the reunion on Saturday, and where they need to be sent, will be forthcoming.

Details:

Shaker Farms CC will host a golf tournament followed by a cocktail party on Friday afternoon and early evening. Saturday the 4th will begin with a cocktail party followed by a dinner with dancing for those that are still ambulatory.
There will be parting packets of "Alleve" for those that skipped the light fantastic a little too vigorously on the dance floor.
