Drafted in 1965 basic training and radio school at Ft Dix,NJ served the next 1 1/2 years in Germany where I had a Top secret security clearance with the Army Security Agency. I was a radio operator,radioteletype operator,and battalion mail clerk. we were a combat-ready unit guarding the east-west german border. I served my 2 years active duty and 4 years of reserves during the viet Nam era I was fortunate never having been called upon to serve in "Nam". god bless those who did serve in that god-forsaken place.
