Fall of '71...got my draft number #77... Viet Nam was still raging... So I joined to guarantee a school in Food Inspection...Spent time in Ft.Leonardwood, Mo. Ft.Sheridan, IL. and Ft Polk... At the time I thought it was a terrible waste of my life... But I used my training and education from the Army to get a job with the Gov't...33 years later I retired at 55 with decent pension...So even if you have to do something that you really don't like it may help you later on....

Joined 1989 after 2 years in the ARNG. Was stationed in Neu-Ulm Germany, Fort Sill Oklahoma, Camp Stanley Korea, Fort Carson Colorado and Ft Riley Kansas. Iraqi Freedom Veteran. Retired Nov 1st 2008. Currently working as a Civilian Instructor in Ft Sill Oklahoma.
