About	We are sorry to announce the death of retiree Mr. Roy Allen Scott, uncle of retirees Jennifer Johnston and Darrell Harvey. Also, brother of former employee, Charlotte Scott Williams. Mr. Scott, age 77, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at his home after a lengthy illness. Roy was born March 7, 1942 in Mer Rouge, Louisiana. He was raised in Prichard, Alabama and graduated from Vigor High School. He proudly served his Country in the United States Air Force, and at one point, was even stationed in Alaska. Much of his military training helped him in his telephone company career. He retired from AT&T after many years of service. He loved Alabama football, hunting, and fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol. Survivors include his sister, Charlotte Williams and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Radney’s Funeral Home in Saraland, on Highway 158. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am -12:00 noon, followed by funeral service at noon.
