E-3 Seaman served in the Deck Department for alll five years on the same ship, the Spruance Class Destroyer USS Cushing DD-985, went on three Western Pacifac Crusies and saw Australia, Japan, Korea, Phillipines, Hawaii, Pago-Pago, American Samoa, Thailand, Hawaii, Portland, Oregon, Seattle Washington, British Columbia, Juneau, Alaska, and many many other ports of call.

Our Vermilion High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Vermilion High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated.
