My best friend George Thompson's brother Gregory Thompson and I joined the Navy together in 1968. After "boot camp we went to different duty stations. I was stationed on the East Coast all four years.Served on two different destroyers in those four years,DD 710 (U.S.S.Gearing) and DD709(U.S.S. Hugh Purvis). Made two "MED CRUISES" ,five Carribean Cruises, one trip to Guantanamo (GITMO) for testing, two trips to Boston Naval Shipyard, one trip to Philadelphia Shipyard,one visit to New York,N.Y. It just sounds like a lot of travel if you were "shore based".I recieved my Honorable Discharge (usn form DD214) in1972 . Proud of my service,proud of my country. Not proud of the way Vets are taken care of after service with injuries.
HAZE GRAY and UNDERWAY, If it works paint it ,if it's brass shine it, if it wears gold bars salute it .

Lolita, graduated from Thornton June 1986 and enlisted in the U. S. Navy Nov 1986. She completed many tours onboard ship, overseas and shore duty. She is a Information Systems Technican specializing in Satellite Communications, and currently station in Norfolk, VA at a Air Squadron. May 2009, Lolita' Graduated from Saint Leo University with a BA in Criminal Justice and is currently enrolled in Graduate School earning a MS in Criminal Justice with specialization in Forensic Science. Sept 2009 Lolita' reenlisted for more 2 years so that she can at least have her Masters Degree upon retiring with a total of 25 Years of Honorable Service from the United States Navy.

Lolita' is an Evangelist in the Church of God in Christ. She is also the CEO of Life Changers Global Prayer Ministries, she touches lives all over the world through her prayer-line ministry. She loves God Yeshua and she loves people.
