Nelson Ocasio

Class of 1981

Nelson Ocasio was the first Native New Yorker and Puerto Rican to ever win the coveted National Rifle Association (NRA) National Service Rifle Championships in 1991 "Dupont Trophy". He also holds the distinction of winning three Interservice (All Armed Forces) Championships in a row, (88, 89, 90).

1991 "Dupont Trophy" Service Rifle Champion
1996 "Porter Trophy" 1000 yard Service Rifle Champion
1997 "Farr Trophy" 1000 yard Service Rifle Champion

Notable Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) Trophies:
1997 "Mountainman" Trophy, aggregate of Presidents and National trophy Matches
2001 "Coast Artillery" Trophy, High scoring Marine competitor
