Hey Pointers!!! Let's kick the pandemic to the curb. It's time to get together again. Join us for a fun filled evening with entertainment provided by Dee Jay Koyote. Buffet and cash bar. Schedule your class reunion, birthday celebration, or any other reason to get together with your classmates. An email confirmation will be sent in lieu of tickets.

Pointer Pride Alum Nite Update
Despite increasing the number of tickets twice, this event is nearly sold out. If you are attending this event, the SPHSAA is holding an open house at the high school from 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm. The Heritage Center will be open for attendees to marvel at the 100+ years of SPHS history, followed by a tour of the school. If you plan on being part of this, please report to the school library by 3:30 pm. The school address is 7400 North Point Road Baltimore, MD 21219. SPHS 2013 Homecoming
If you grew up in the Sparrows Point, Edgemere, or Dundalk area in the 40’s, 50’s, and/or 60’s, you probably remember the Annual Steel Bowl Games. For those fortunate enough to participate or attend these games, you also might recall the Pep Rally held on the eve of the games. Few, if any, events galvanized these communities as much as the highly anticipated Steel Bowl games and Pep Rally. With the sad news of the dismantling of the Sparrows Point Steel Mill, how great would it be to have an event that could re-ignite the excitement and anticipation of days gone by for those who remember, and introduce to those who don’t, a single event that can create school and community spirit not witnessed in many years.

Remember the Sparrows Point High School Centennial celebration? This two-day event that started with dinner at the country club followed by a full day of festivities at the high school was a tremendous success. This huge undertaking was not the result of one group's work, but rather a collaboration of efforts from the school staff, the Alumni Association, and individuals that came on board to assist for this one undertaking. As you may have heard, the Alumni Association is proposing a special celebration for the 2013 SPHS homecoming football game, now known as “The Spirit Project”. We are currently in the planning stages, and while not nearly the undertaking of the Centennial celebration, we still are in need of additional help. To facilitate the planning process, the Alumni Association has decided to shorten the monthly general meeting, and dedicate the rest of the meeting time to The Spirit Project. The Alumni Association monthly meeting is held on the third Tuesday of each month in the school library at 7:00 PM. Please join us if you're interested in helping make this project a success.
Car Truck & Motorcycle Show!
SPHS PTSA is hosting a Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show on Saturday October 20, 2012 from 10-4pm at the high school.
Registration 8:30 - 11am - Awards start at 3:00
Pre-Registration - $10.00 - Registration at the gate - $12.00
Proceeds to benefit our scholarship fund and student activities.

We are planning a Thirty- One Bingo event, and hope to raise funds for equipment, uniforms, and practice gear. We are asking for help from corporations and businesses. You can help by sponsoring a Thirty-One tote/bag, by either making a monetary donation for the purchase of the tote or donating products to fill the tote. Our Thirty-One Bingo is scheduled for Friday, March 9, 2012 at Sparrows Point High School, 7400 North Point Road, in Edgemere. Tickets can be purchased for $15.00 in advance or $20.00 at the door.

SPHS Alumni Association 2nd Annual Bull Roast

December SPHSAA Meeting/Christmas Party

SPHS Class of '68 Turns 60!
We members of the class of '68 have either celebrated or will soon celebrate our 60th birthday (except for the women who will be celebrating their 40th :o)). To commemorate the occasion, we invite all class members and their significant others to get together on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Della Rose’s Avenue Tavern. This will be a casual, informal opportunity to re-acquaint outside of a reunion year. The festivities will start around 3:00 pm and will continue until ???. Everyone will be responsible for their own tab. For the out-of-towners wanting to make a weekend out of it (and we’d love to see as many there as possible), there are two hotels literally across the street – the Hampton Inn and the Hilton White Marsh. A trolley provides round trip transportation to the Avenue for those not wanting to get behind the wheel. Anyone not a graduate of the class but would like to catch up with some old friends are welcome to join us.
