I was a member of the U.S. Army from 2 Nov 88 to 2 Nov 92. I completed basic training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Upon completing training as a medic at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas, I was stationed at the 188th General Dispensary in Bamberg, Germany from March 1989 to Nov 1992.
I served in the Louisiana National Guard from Jan 93 to Mar 02. While with the LAANG at Jackson Barracks in New Orleans, I served as in medic in the 159th M.A.S.H. which was disbanded and renamed Det 5, HQ STARC.
During my two-week drill in Aug 97, I was rear-ended in a motor vehicle accident. Approximately five years and three spinal surgeries later, I received an honorable discharge from the military.
