13 years at Vandenberg AFB, Ca. Minuteman missile weapon systen test and launch support,
including satallite launches. Nearly 400 launches.
4 years at Minot AFB, ND.Minuteman missile support.
My first job after retirement was working on the little known west coast space shuttle program. I hired on in Jan 1986. On Jan 28 1986 I had left the blockhouse for a meeting at the external tank building. Before the meeting was over, word came down that we had lost the Challenger (STS-25). By Oct 1986 the Vandenberg shuttle launch program was shut down. On July 21,2011 shuttle
Atlantis (STS-135) ended the shuttle program. Atlantis had been designed for polar launches, weatther satellites, etc.

Senior Chief Radioman (RMCS) Served aboard the USCG Cutter Cook Inlet for 21 years and a short time on a couple other ships. Returned from Viet Nam January 12, 1972. Retired in September 1972 after 27 years of service. Passed away September 12, 1974.

Spent most of my time in Special Duty cooking for the senior leadership at the Pentagon, Bolling AFB, Andrews AFB and also coordinated all the events on the Capitol Grounds for President Bush's first Inaugural in 2001. Retired at Andrews as a Chief master Sergeant and Superintendent of 89th Services squadron.
