Shasta High Class of 1975, it is time for us to gather again and celebrate our 45th year out of high school. We have locked down Saturday night, September 26 at the Redding Elks Lodge. We are renting a room for the night from 5pm - 11pm, the cost to attend will be $10 per person to cover the $800 rental insurance and cleaning charge. It will be casual dress. We had good success with a potluck the last time so feel free to bring food for people to snack on. Finger foods are fine. The Elk's Lodge bar will be available to purchase (cash only) soda and adult beverages.
For out of towners, come to Redding and spend a few days. Redding has grown to over 90,000 people, the metro area is now almost 180,000, and there are plenty of accommodations from modest to upper end depending on what you like. Come see the Sundial Bridge, Shasta Caverns, we have had good snowpack years so lakes and reservoirs are full, fishing is great and there are lots of places to hike, ride your bike, and golf. Hello Classmates, The Reunion is this week. Friday September 4 we gather at All Stars Sports Bar around 7p (or come later if you want) - corner of Parkview and Hartnell.
Saturday we gather at the Elks Lodge from 5pm - 12 midnight. Thanks to all who have sent in their money and rsvp'd.
We also have a fun little social and golf outing Saturday at 10am,at River Bend Golf Course also known as River Tsalmi Golf Course, off Bonnyview near the river. I have had many e-mails and some calls asking if classmates can still come if they haven't rsvp'd, the answer is YES - We want our classmates to come !! Please come, we want to see you !! Yes, you can pay at the door.
Heck, I have given out my cell phone for months, you can call me and let me know what you plan to do, even if it is last minute, we want our classmates there. My phone is 916-878-6835.
Dress is casual, relax, relax, relax. This is a very simple gathering, no dinners, no dance, no hassle, just come and catch up, say hello and see how your classmates are doing.
I have had some folks ask what they can bring to the Potluck at the Elks (this is not a planned dinner by the way) it's just so we have food to go along with drinks at the bar which are both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
