It's finally here! Our reunion begins this afternoon with happy hour at 5pm. If you haven't already, please RSVP here on this SHS Alumni Class of '79 Reunion page if you'll be joining us for any part of this 40th reunion weekend. All Friday and Saturday events will be at The Shores Resort & Spa where we have a lodging block set up with discounted rates starting at $149 per night (plus $20 Daily Resort Charge and taxes) for SHS Class of '79 40th Reunion attendees. Please call the hotel directly at (386) 767-7350 and ask to speak with in-house reservations so they can check if rooms are available at these block rates.
On Friday July 12th, we will have a casual happy hour gathering on the main level in the patio area starting at 5pm, which will be a cash bar, pay-as-you-go activity. The Shores will also be the venue for our Saturday evening dinner, music and dancing, which will be July 13th from 5pm to 11pm, with happy hour from 5pm until 6:30pm in the bar area on main level followed by dinner in the rooftop River Room. We still have room for a few more folks at the Saturday evening dinner event, so we extended the deadline to Friday July 12th to purchase your non-refundable ticket(s) for $50 each (plus tax & processing fee). It's important that you prepay for your ticket(s) so we get an accurate count of total attendees, and we can't guarantee that “walk-up” payments will be accepted on July 13th! In addition to the events already mentioned above, we're doing a SHS campus visit Saturday morning at 10:30am. Please join us! Parking is available in the SHS main parking lot near the flagpole where we'll all meet before the tour starts. Finally, we'll also do an informal beach day on Sunday meeting at the Beach Bucket on A1A near the Harvard beach approach at 867 S. Atlantic Ave, Ormond Beach, FL 32176 beginning at 10:30am.
