| About Me | I was widowed in 2015. Prior to that, I was married to a wonderful man that I met at the U of A. He became a fighter pilot during the Vietnam War and after we traveled from Arizona ( I began teaching here.) to Texas ( Here I learned to ride motorcycles and owned one.), California (I taught here while my husband served his tour in Vietnam.) , New Mexico ( I taught here and then my husband and I had our first child. I also learned tennis here and rode motorcycles with my husband.), the Panama Canal Zone ( Here I learned to scuba dive and continued to play tennis. We dove in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. We had our second child here.), and finally Colorado ( Here I began teaching once more and traveling as a family.). My husband retired after ten years in the AF in order to become an airline pilot. All this time, I was home raising our kids with him or teaching. I had previously taught in those other states until we decided to raise our family. As a teacher, I sponsored : a booster club, cheerleaders, the school yearbook, a motorcycle club, and a spelling club for the National Spelling Bee. I taught at Rincon my first year. I loved teaching and continued in my profession for 31 years. After retirement, I began writing poetry and painting. My husband and I loved traveling. We have been to every country in Central America, Mexico, Columbia, Peru, Hawaii, the Caribbean, Canada, France, and England.
