| About Me | so this is the 21st century......wow man, PEACE and LOVE.....frickin old ass, long haired hippie .... HA !!! I was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on July 1, 1956. I am the youngest of three kids from, John R. MacDonald and Dorothy J. MacDonald. I have an older brother, Rick..58, and an older sister, Sherron...57 in a few days. Lived in Ft. Worth in 1956, moved to Hurst in 1957, Richland Hills 1965 to 1975,Houston 1975 , back t o Hurst 1976. US Army 1973-1975. Met and married Cheryl L.(Sherry) Mayhew JUNE 24,1977. son William Joseph(Billy Joe) born November 21, 1977, second son John Christopher(JC) born March 27, 1981, third son Bobby Wayne(Bob) born on July 31,1990. Billy graduated Azle High School Class of 1996, John graduated Azle High School Class of 1999, and Bobby graduated Birdville High School Class of 2008. Graduated Trade School was a member of Carpenter's Local 1822. Started doing trim work for father in law and then partnered up with our own business. Worked as a carpenter for 12 years before the savings and loan fiasco of the Reagan years. Started doing night stocking at Diamond's grocery store in Azle where we lived from 1980 to 1997 when my mom passed away from breast cancer. we moved back to Richland Hills. I had to do chemo therapy for Hep C from may 1998 to may 1999. Don't remember much during that time. in 1997 Sherry got breast cancer, had a radical double mastectomy and chemo, but passed away due to complications of Darvocette poisoning in December of 1999. We were married for 22 and a half years. In December of 2000 I had to do chemo again, and had my house burn down and lost everything on dec. 20, 2000. my friends took me in with my youngest son and cared for me until I was better(Tricia). Moved around for a few years, N. Ft. Worth, then back to Richland Hills in 2003 till 2005 when Tricia Gustin and I got together and were living in Richland Hills. She was seperated from her husband, Bobby, but we all had a very good relationship and just wanted to get our kids raised in a healthy environment and a school system we all knew and trusted. We had just melded as a family recently and Tricia was commenting on Mother's Day 2010 that she loved her family and her life we were living. Tricia passed away 6 days later, May 15, 2010, yesterday. God's been good to me,though. My friends gave me encouragement. It is now mid October and my daughters birthday is in a week and a half, she will be 19. My son John is getting married in two days...makes me very happy. John and his wife to be, Chevonne, a beautiful young lady, had a daughter on Sept. 7, Paige Ryann MacDonald, MY FIRST GRANDBABY!!!! Brings me much joy and happiness, I know that Tricia and Sherry are both feeling the same way...they were such good friends for years...Trcia was not only the kids Godmother, she became their second Mom, and was being treated as such when she died. Was a very great loss for anybody and everybody who knew her and/or loved her. My faith in God, my trust in family, and the love of family, friends, and strangers, have been keeping me strong during these trying times. Financially, I'm doing fine, mentally, I am so tired and weary...missing Tricia so very very dearly. more later... It is a year later..November 2,2011...Things have changed alot since I was last here...We live in a 3 bedroom apartment in Keller on the Keller/Watauga/Ft Worth border off North Tarrant Pkwy and 377 Denton Hwy. It is me, Bill, and Bobby Wayne living here...Bill still works at selling Verizon FIOS, Bob at The Fossil Creek 12 Movie Theatre, and I still do what I do to survive. Hard to believe that Tricia has been gone for 18 months..Tay is gonna have a baby boy in January, and her and Blake are doing fine living with Meemaw and Rusty and Colton in Richland Hills...We lost the house on Davidson... Still trying to recouperate from a stroke on Labor Day 2011...Got to talk to President Bill Clinton in August and James Carville in late September..trying to get me to volunteer for the DCC in Texas..I had to decline...I may not should have...Paige, John, and Chevonne are doing ok..they need to get their car running so they can put the truck in the shop and get it going too...JC had a good job with benefits and all but lost it after he and Paige got sick with pneumonia..they are better now..Chevonne was working at the Movie Tavern in Bedford, but changed jobs for a better one with CareMark Healthcare Centers..trying to get used to this apartment still, but getting there... Keith is moving in with his Mom so he can take better care of her in her final days..she has had 4 strokes and is in poor health...we are in the process of moving him right now so business as usual is on hold...
