About	Made his final flight on Sunday, November 23, 2025, surrounded by his wife, Kimberly, family, and dear friends. Martin was born in Richland Hills, Texas August 11, 1956 and began flying at age 8. He graduated from Richland Hills High School and then Southeast Oklahoma University. To build flight time he became a flight instructor and then commuter pilot, and ultimately was hired by Republic Airlines in June of 1985. Martin retired from Delta after 36 years of service. A "legend in his own time? Or as he more aptly put it, "legend in his own mind!". During his working life he and his wife settled in Tecumseh, Mi where they cared for family, rescued border collies, traveled, and made friendships everywhere. After retirement, he and Kim moved back to his family home in TX, making it their own. Martin is survived by his wife Kimberly, "Pops" to Kathlene and Michael Visser, nephews, and dear friends. He will be remembered as a fine pilot and Dear Friend.
