Marine Corps, 10 Years
I joined the Marine Corps in 2006 and became a Marine Officer. I have been lucky to have had the opportunity to earn two MOSs and I am now working on a third. I have been stationed all over the country and have completed two combat deployments; one to Iraq and the other to Afghanistan.

After Basic in 1971, I initially trained in Electronics/Radio Repair; my assignments were in NorCal and S.C. state Air Force Bases from 1972 to 1976. I was then transferred into Tactical Air Commmand & Control/Close Air Support ops, supporting the Army near Munich Germany and in Ft. Bliss, El Paso, TX from 1976 to 1985. I then became a Professional Military Education - Leadership School Instructor and served at George AFB in SoCal from 1985-1989. I returned to the Close Air Support ops job for a year in South Korea and another year at Ft. Lewis, WA from 1989 to 1991. I retired as a Master Sgt. in 1991.
