I am an alumnus of RJR and attended high school there from 1978-1980. I had the men's heavy, solid gold, traditional black onyx class ring with the gold script "R", which I wore proudly through college until it was stolen from my dorm room my senior year. Believe it or not, it was a religious college and the other object taken from my room that day was an expensive Ryrie Study Bible. 1982 men's RJR class ring with initials WLC. Found in ocean off NC coast many years ago (in the 90's) and took it to a jeweler and had it cleaned in order to see the initials (as it was encrusted with matter). Ironically I am a 1975 graduate of RJ Reynolds and I too, lost my high school class ring. My name and email is: Lisa_McConnell@uncg.edu.

I have a Reynolds Ring, man-sized that a friend gave to me years ago (about 1972.). It had been a misprint, as the year it was given to me was prior to the date I had received it. For some reason, it was never returned to the company, which was not Balfour.
The intials in it were LCB, and the year is stated as 1979. I would love for the person to have it, or for someone who graduated in 1979 and does not have one of these rings.
This is a nice ring, with the R in the middle of the stone. I would like to see it used as a high school ring or memento, rather than sold off somewhere.
