ARE YOU READY? Or the more important question is: ARE YOU COMING TO THE PNHS CLASS OF 1972 50th REUNION? What's the buzz, you ask? Well, here is the initial schedule with more details to come. The dates are Friday, August 12 - Saturday, August 13, 2022.
Friday, August 12, 1:30 p.m. - A tour of good ol'...and new...Portage Northern High School, led by Principal Jim French. This is a FREE event, open to all, even if you choose not to attend any other event.
We are hoping to add some activities during the day on Saturday, August 13. We are looking for volunteers to coordinate activities like trips to the Air Zoo, Gilmore Car Museum, Kalamazoo Institute of Art, golf outing, hike, beer tours, or other local activities or attractions. Any costs associated with these activities are on your own.
The main events:Friday, August 12, 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. - After dinner on your own, a gathering will be held at the home of Steff Rapacz Goldsberry. This is a chance to informally reconnect with classmates. Snacks, beer, wine, soft drinks, bottled water will be provided.
Saturday, August 13, 6 p.m. to 12 midnight: cocktail hour, buffet dinner, entertainment, dancing, and special door prizes at the Four Points by Sheraton in Kalamazoo. Dress is casual.
The total cost for these two events is just $19.72 per person!! That’s right, whether you attend just Friday night, just Saturday night, or both nights, you pay a total of $19.72 per person. You read correctly: Thanks to a generous donation from an anonymous classmate, we are able to offer you the opportunity to attend our 50th, and possibly last reunion, at an incredibly low cost. Details for payment, addresses and everything else will be forthcoming as this grand final reunion evolves. But please know that reservations will close on July 1st.

Saturday 27th:
10am PNHS Tour of the High School. Want to join us for quite literally a walk down memory lane? Come see the changes made to the school and see what hasn't changed.
Following the tour, we've added an informal picnic from 11-2 at Oshtemo Township Park, 7275 West Main St., Kalamazoo, 49009. Bring your own food if you wish! There is a baseball field, basketball & tennis courts, playground, pavillions, restrooms, walking paths and a disc golf course.
6pm-12 midnight is the main event dinner at Niko's Landing, 5852 Kings Highway, Kalamazoo, 49048. A beautiful venue on the banks of Kalamazoo River with an excellent dinner menu, including dessert and a cash bar. Cost is $45 per ticket. Please see the DONATIONS tab on the right for how to help donate towards ticket costs for fellow alumni.
