Carlene Sue Combs, 65, of Parkersburg died unexpectedly July 26, 2009, at her residence.
She was born at Madison, W.Va., a daughter of the late Carl B. and Rubye Miller Schmauch. She retired as office manager at Tele-Response. Her grandchildren were the pride of her life and she enjoyed crocheting.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer C. Tarrant and husband, Steve, of Pittsburgh; two grandchildren, Christian and Natalie Tarrant; and one brother, Carl Schmauch and wife, Lois, of Hockingport.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Vaughan Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Lisa Taylor officiating.
