| About Me | I will always long to cast spells like wizard, be sparkly like a vampire, play with my animal friends in the Hundred Acre wood, sing songs with a giant mouse, and live in a castle with talking candlesticks and dishes. Imagination and creativity are things EVERYONE should be encouraged to use, not just kiddos! I am a 2001 graduate of *The* Ohio State university with a BM in Voice Performance. I got married in 2006 to my wonderful husband Derek, and we currently reside in Lewis Center. We have 4 adorable Shih Tzu furbaby's - Abby, Cassie, Caillou, and Diego. Derek is in the home stretch of his doctoral program for business, and I graduated from Columbus State in December2011, with an Associate of Applied Science in nursing. I passed boards (NCLEX-RN) in January 2012 and am an now a Registered Nurse. I work for Ohio Health (for a few more weeks) and am a student at Ohio University in the RN-BSN online completion program. If you have known me for a while, you know cancer has become a part of my everyday life since 2007. It is a constant roller coaster of doctors appointments, labs, biopsies, scans of every variety, surgeries, Radioactive Iodine treatments, low iodine diets and the list goes on. Somehow, thanks to the awesomeness of my surgeon I am still able to sing. He has been one of my biggest advocates for vocal preservation, which is tricky when scalpels/scar tissue are so close to the vocal muscles!
