Eleanir Kline of Mansfield, Ohio died Monday, February 9, 2026 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital. She was 98 years old.
Born Mary Elinor Cassel on August 11, 1927 in Ontario Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Frederick J. and Josephine (Cass) Cassel. She graduated from Springfield Township High School in 1945 and from Mansfield General Hospital School of Nursing in 1948 and worked for the hospital as a nurse. She was married to William J. Kline of Mansfield from 1950 until his death in 2013. In addition to volunteer work, she worked in the family business for many years. She created a scholarship for nursing students and was a generous supporter of many organizations.
Eleanir is survived by daughters Kimberly Kline of Ithaca, NY; Leslie Kline of Ronan MT; and son Matthew Kline (Cheryl) of Mansfield; and beloved niece Joan Place of Mansfield; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, six siblings, husband Bill, and daughter Susan.
