FREDERICK G. RICE, 84, of Ontario, died Thursday, January 19, 2012 at his residence.
Born February 12, 1927 in Danville, he was the son of John G. and Lola D. Rice. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Fred was a former Ontario High School Teacher. He was a self-taught portrait artist and loved to read his King James Bible.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Jane Rice of Mt. Vernon; step-son, Neal (Chris) Pfaff of Columbus; and numerous extended family.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, M. Ruth Rice; sisters, Lenore Rice, Josephine Weakley, and Lucille Mondron; and brother, Ty Rice.
