Connie King-Young
Class of 1981
Connie was the first black Judicial Assistant of the 5th Judicial Circuit and Marion County. She served the Honorable Sandra Edwards-Stephens for 9 years. Judge Edwards-Stephens was the first woman AND the first black judge elected in 1990; in 2000 she was appointed to the circuit bench repeating history again.
Connie finished her Masters degree in counseling and works as a mentoring coordinator where she serves children of prisoners by matching them with a mentors.
