Barbara Baumgartner Tyler

Army, 20+ Years
I went to school for Surgical Technologists and served both in hospitals and in deployable field hospitals. I served combined 7 years in Germany and 7 years at Fort Ord, CA. Most memorable are the six months I spent in Honduras, were our deployable hospital set up to support the National Guard. One of our missions was to provided much needed medical and dental care to the local Hondurans. Even though it has been 14 years since I retired I still miss being in the Army and the comradery.

Went from E-2 to 0-6 (Colonel) and enjoyed my 32 years of military service (12 active, 20 reserves) and was activated shortly after 9/11. I helped fellow airman, solders, sailors, and marine corps advance in their careers, and continue to do so now that I am retired.
