I was trained as an electronic photographic repairman. I worked on F4C recon and F4D fighters. I was stationed in Japan during the Viet Nam War and finished my tour in Europe as a staff sergeant.

Enlisted in Army in May 1970. Took basic training at Fort Lewis Washington in Washington state.Took advanced training at Fort Gordon Georgia in Signal Corp teletype repair. Graduated specialist 4th class. Stationed at Fort Hood Texas and then when to Izmir Turkey Land Southeast Nato forces for two years. Discharged form service on February 1973 as Specialist 5th class.
