About	Former classmate DAVID MCPEAK passed away on November 13, 2002 of a massive coronary. At the time of his death, David was in the trucking business. He drove across country and returned to Mayhill, NM when possible where he and his wife, Karen, made their home. He is survived by his wife, a son, David, a daughter, LaGaytha Hammer, a stepdaughter, Shellie Watson, a stepson, Joe Linker, his brother, Wayne McPeak, and wife, Sue Pittman McPeak (both Class of 65), two sisters, Linda Strickland and Carol Boggs, four grandchildren, and three nephews. Jerry Adams wrote this about David…..“You always knew where you stood with David, as he was down to earth, loved life and people, especially his family and friends. He was a practical joker and didn’t mind when the joke was on him. He always looked for the best in people, and shared with his family and friends his love, respect and regard. David's work ethic was evident everyday of his life. He was an avid hunter, and spent every deer season he could sharing his knowledge of hunting with his son and nephews. His family and friends were always in his thoughts as he traveled across the country. He often called just to say hello, miss and love ya'll and hope to see you soon. We miss you “No Toe”! You certainly were a joy in our lives and we will remember you always.”
