About	Tommy ``Shawn'' Hawkins, 37, of Phoenix, Ariz., went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 22, 2002, from his home. A celebration memorial service of Shawn's life will be held 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 2, at Bethany Baptist Church, Moline. Funeral services and interment will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, at Phoenix Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to The Bank of America of Phoenix, Ariz., for his children, Marcus and Sara Hawkins. Pallbearers are Bill Latting, Moline, Dr. David Fawks, Florida, Alan, Adam and Marcus Phillips, all of Texas, and Bruce Smith, Arizona. Honorary pallbearers are Kim Hawkins, Bryan Hawkins, Tim Lauer, Joe Salazar and Jack Sunquist. Shawn was born Dec. 21, 1964, in Rock Island. He was a 1982 graduate of Moline High School and attended Black Hawk College and Hamilton Technical College. He married Joni Jawoisz on Feb. 14, 1987. Shawn was employed by Cox Cable Company of Phoenix, in the engineering department. He was a member of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, Rock Island. Shawn was a loving father who enjoyed fishing, playing tennis, coaching Little League and spending quality time with his children. Surviving are his wife, 11-year-old son, Marcus, and 4-year-old daughter, Sara, all of Phoenix; his parents, Tommy and Sue Hawkins, Milan; sister, Karen Hawkins Phillips and husband, Alan, Kennedale, Texas; sister, Melanie Hawkins Wheeler and husband Kent, St. Charles, Iowa; many dear nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws and friends who loved him more than he'll ever know.
