About Me	1944--Born in London, England during the "Little Blitz." 1947--My earliest memory: sledding in Switzerland. Started skiing too, according to parental sources. 1950--Came to America and settled in San Francisco. 1950-1955--Jefferson School, St. Brigid's Catholic School. 1955--Moved to suburbia; Orinda to be precise. 1960--Began working at Pella Sales Company. 1955-1962-- Pine Grove Jr. High School, Miramonte High School. 1962-1964-Drank my way to a 1.0 GPA at Diablo Valley College. 1962-1965--Worked as a teamster in San Francisco; started by unloading boxcars full of 100-pound sacks of charcoal at Van Waters, & Rodgers; ended up as a delivery truck driver for Burke Concrete Accessories. 1964--Won the Golden Arrow downhill race at Sugar Bowl. 1965--First trip back to Europe. Fell in love. Met my biological father in Norway. Also drafted into U.S. Army. 1966--Basic training at Fort Bliss, TX; AIT at Fort Ord, CA; Officer Candidate School & Ranger Training, Fort Benning, GA. 1967--Southeast Asia, 2nd squad, 2nd platoon,C-2-8, 1st Cavalry Division. Ambushed, died, came back to life, purple heart. Air medal for combat assaults. 1968--Back to Europe. Bought TR-250 in Coventry, England. Fell in love again. 1969-1971--San Jose State, BA in Journalism. Fell in love again, got married. 1972--Jennifer born. 1973--1st Degree Kyu, Brown Belt, Kenpo Karate; Moved to Truckee, CA. 1976--Adrienne born. 1977--Got contractor's license. 1980--Went broke; Got divorced. 1982--PSIA Assoc. cert 1983--Ski coach Level I. 1984--Got PSIA full cert. 1985-1986--Fell in love; got married. 1987--Andrea born. 1988--Kip born. 1990--Nevada Secondary Teaching Certificate, began teaching. 1992--Charged with assault on a body builder. He slipped on the ice. 1993--Masters degree in English from UNR. 1994--Bought a ski shop, went broke, got divorced. Etc.,...(read more)
