Ricky "Doc" Torres
Class of 2001
Navy, 5 Years
I was in the US NAVY for five years. During that time, I became a Hospital Corpsman Third Class. I was stationed at Pensacola for the first two years of my career, and finished up my naval career with the Marines in Jacksonville, NC.
I was deployed to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in support of JTF GITMO by providing Medical Aide to the Detainees being held in Camp Delta. May 2005- November 2005.
I was deployed to Fallujah, Iraq with 5th Battalion 10th Marines as part of a Civil Affairs detachment that was to provide the developement of the city of Fallujah.
During my time in the Navy, I was only on a ship for two weeks. The USS KEARSARGE.

Nov 1972 to 1979. 2 foreign tours, Duelman Germany near Munster and Fort Monmouth New Jersey (them people are more foreign than the Germans). 1 son born in Eatontown, NJ and a second and then twins in Haltern, FRG. Ended at Ft Huachuca, AZ. Signal Corp, Autodin and microwave/satellite.

Warren AFB, WY; an Air Force ROTC instructor at the University of Cinncinnati, and as an education/training officer at the Defense Information School, Ft. Benjamin Harrison, IN, and at Los Angeles Air Force Base, CA.

Our Midwest City High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done!
