School & Community News

Tommy Jack Burrows

Tommy was my very best friend & I loved him like a brother. I remember when he accepted Christ as his Savior & Lord of his life. We didn't go hardly anywhere we weren't together. We took a job in Northwest, Texas & worked for a while for a clothing company that was building a store.
I miss Tommy even now, he was such a good friend...brother. I will also see Tommy again in Heaven. If there are anyone of those that are reading this that you would take time.now to remedy this situation right now?? If you should know what to do contact me; I am a Pastoral Counseler and I believe that God would like that & I know that Tommy in heaven & I would cherish this.

Tommy Jack Burrows

Just got some bad news yesterday from my sister Peggy Robinson (White) that our good friend Tommy Burrows passed away last week.
Tommy was such a good friend and he and Peggy used to date back in the day.
Tommy was always so funny and just an all around good guy. I for one will miss Tommy and my I see him in Heaven one day.

Class of 1975 Don Strahorn

Don Strahorn - Midwest City High School Class of 1975 - of Midwest City, Oklahoma was recently diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS a.k.a. Lou Gehrig's Disease). This is an orphan disease, which means there is no cure or medicine available. Regardless of the part of the body first affected by the disease, muscle weakness and atrophy spread to other parts of the body as the disease progresses. Individuals have increasing problems with moving, swallowing, and speaking or forming words. Eventually people with ALS will not be able to stand or walk, get in or out of bed on their own, or use their hands and arms. In later stages of the disease, individuals have difficulty breathing as the muscles of the respiratory system weaken. Although ventilation support can ease problems with breathing and prolong survival, it does not affect the progression of ALS.
The 2nd Annual "4 DON @ DUSK WALK & RUN" will be held Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Regional Park in Midwest City, Oklahoma (8700 East Reno Avenue). Participants will need to check in at 4:00 p.m. at the pavilion west of the swimming pool. The event starts at 5:00 p.m.
