I was a weapons guy, mortars, machine guns, and anti-tank. I served in 5 infantry battalions, and 2 tank battalions. During the Gulf War I was in a TOW section attached to a Marine Armored task force that went into Kwiatt City. I also had a tour as an Embassy Guard in the middle east, and a stint as a ski instructor in the Sierra's. I had a lot of great experiences, and worked with a lot of good Marines. If there are any other "lion" Marines out there you can find me on FB. Semper Fi, and GO LIONS.

I served 3 years active, 1966-1969. I started enlisted and was commissioned in 1967 as a lieutenant in the field artillery. I served in the 82nd Airborne while in the US and with both the 7th and 6th Psyop battalions in I Corps and III Corps, respectively, Vietnam. I spent my time with the 3rd Marine Division and 1st Air Cav in those assignments. On return to the US, I moved to the ready reserves and spent 4 more years in the 972 Engineer battalion, finishing as a captain, battalion S-1.
