My naval career started in Great Lakes, Illinois, August 19,1993. I graduated from boot camp on October 29,1993. I served on board five navy ships; USS Curtis Wilbur (DDG-54), USS Moosburger (DD 980), USS Ramage (DDG-61), USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and USS Nassau (LHA-4). I served on shore duty twice in my career. SIMA (Shore Immediate Maintenance Activity) and DLA (Defense Logistics Agency). I officially retired from the Navy on August 30, 2013, as an Logistic Specialist, 2nd Class Petty Officer.

I served in the navy from August 19, 1993 to September 2, 2013. I retired after 20 years of service at the rank of E-5. I was trained at RTTC Great Lakes in Great Lakes, IL, I graduated boot camp on October 29, 1993. I spent 3 weeks in ATD school while I was there and graduated November 30, 1993. I had served on-board 5 different ships throughout my naval career. The USS Curtis Wilbur DDG-54, USS Moosebrugger DD 980, USS Ramage DDG-61, USS Theodore Roosevelt CVN-71 & the USS Nassau LHA-4. I worked as an logistic specialist and attend a series of navy schools for certifications and training for my job. I served on shore duty only twice in my naval career. While shore based I went to school part-time. I earned a certificate in career studies in acquisition and procurement and then got an AA degree in liberal arts. I'm still in school but now; a full-time student and working on a bachelor's degree in business administration with specialization in logistics.
