Jake Daniel Elliot, an American football placekicker, was born on January 21, 1995, in Western Springs, Illinois. He is most recognized for his career with the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL), where he achieved significant milestones, including being a part of the Eagles' Super Bowl LII championship team. Jake's career in football took off whilst studying at Lyons Township High School in La Grange, Illinois.

Before his football career, Jake was an active sportsperson, excelling in sports like baseball, basketball, and tennis. Notably, he used to be one of the top youth tennis players in the state. However, his career trajectory changed when his talent for football was recognized during a Homecoming student field goal kicking contest.

Boosting his high school's reputation, Jake showcased an exceptional performance in his junior year, making a 52-yard field goal with no time remaining. This outstanding play was instrumental in Lyons Township's 16-14 victory over Oak-Park River Forest High School. By the end of his senior year, Jake successfully made 15 out of 21 field goal attempts and ended up securing a full scholarship offer to play for the University of Memphis.

From 2013 to 2016, Jake Elliott played college football at Memphis, earning remarkable accolades such as the American Athletic Conference Special Teams Player of the Week and "Stars of the Week" by Lou Groza Award. On a roll, he led the American Athletic Conference by averaging 9.2 points per game in his sophomore year, securing his position as the First-team All-Conference for the second consecutive year.

Elliott was drafted into the NFL in 2017 by the Philadelphia Eagles. His career has been characterized by impressive statistics, such as 156 successful field goals out of 183 attempts, translating to an 85.2% success rate. His longest field goal was an impressive 61 yards. Besides, Elliot provided 359 touchbacks for his team.
