Save the dates and mark your calendars! Our 55 year reunion for KHS 68 (and 56 year for KHS 67) will be held on 22 & 23 September 2023!
Thanks to everyone who responded to our poll about our 55 year union activities. There was strong interest all three proposed activities. Your reunion committee has made arrangements as follows:
- Golf for those interested will be on Friday 22 September at Meadowbrook Golf Course in Taylorsville beginning at 12:00 pm. The format will be a team scramble. The amount of the entry fee will be determined and published later.
- A tour of Kearns High School led by the current Student Body Officers will be on Saturday 23 September beginning about 5:00 pm for those interested. (Free)
- The main event will be a social with food and drink catered by Have Party Will Travel in the Element Event Center in Kearns across the street from the school near the skating oval beginning on Saturday 23 September at 6:00 pm (right after the school tour for those attending). (Free. Optional donations to the reunion fund will be gratefully accepted at the reunion. No payments are needed in advance.)
We will be taking firm RSVPs for those who plan to attend the above events later so we can give a firm head count to the caterer and prepare photo badges.
Please help spread the word to all the members of the classes of '67 and '68.

We are not having a sit down dinner but appetizers, desserts and drinks, because our past reunions were sit down dinners & many of us were not able to mingle or converse with all our long lost classmates we wanted. It will be nostalgic being able to see our school right across the street from the Element Center. It's a great reunion of all 4 classes who opened Kearns High School. It began in 1966 although we were on double sessions with Kearns Jr. High until midway through that year. We want as many as possible to come and celebrate this great heritage.
It is on Sept. 27, 2014 at 6:00 pm to Midnight at the Gathering Place at Gardner Village, 1100 W 7800 S in West Jordan. It is $35 per person and dress is casual. The three dinner choices are: Roast Baron of Beef (slices of beef topped with a mushroom, bordelaise gravy and homemade mashed potatoes). Pan-Seared Salmon (finished with dilled hollandaise sauce. Served with rice pilaf) and Gardner Chicken (Breast of Chicken topped with ham and swiss cheese then finished with a cordon bleu sauce. Served with rice pilaf). A cash bar will be available.
Reservations with payment are due by September 10, 2014. If you pay after that date, you should pay $40 per person. You can pay either by transferring funds from your bank account to the KHS account or going to Mountain America Credit Union. We took an unscientific survey at the reunion, and it was unanimously decided that it would be fun to go on a "Reunion Cruise" for our 25th. So start planning now, saving up that money and lets see if we can really make this happen. We are opening it up for the classes of 1988 and 1990 as well. So spread the word. Probably would be sometime in July or August, and probably be a weekend (Fri-Mon) cruise. Most likely out of a California port. We could make it a 7 day if the price is right and enough response.
