Drafted into the Army in October 1963 and spent entire two years at Fort Jackson, S.C. Almost like a civilain job except I wore a uniform. Fort Jackson was just outside Columbia S.C. (about a 4 hour drive) so I came home almost every other week-end. Could have been a lot worse!
