Catherine Ricketts (nee Stevenson) Portage, IN, age 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 3, 2014.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald V. Ricketts; sons, Thomas G. Ricketts and James A. Ricketts; granddaughter, Eve A. Ricketts; great-granddaughter, Lexi A. Hale; sister, Patricia Schmitz; niece, JoEllen Catlow; nephews, Mark Schmitz and Richard Rose; several great-nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Rose Stevenson; and sister, Mary Rose.
Catherine was a 1941 graduate of Horace Mann High School. She worked for US Steel Gary Works and the Gary Public School System. She and Gerald were longtime active members of the Hobart Elks Lodge. She enjoyed music, dancing, cooking and playing the organ. Catherine was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
