I entered the Army during the Viet Nam War, and later served for Walter Reed Army Medical Center as Chief of Podiatric Medicine
in its Pentagon Clinic. Affer I left active duty, I continued on at the Pentagon Clinic as a civilian foot surgeon. My patients came right out of my history books including Gen. Maxwell Taylor, Heisman Trophy winner Gen. Pete Dawkins. Gen. Colin Powell, Gen. Norman Swarzkopf, Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinbeger. LTC Oliver North, and 4 Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. During Operation Deseret Storm I was sent to the Ft. Hood, Texas Hospital to be chief of their Podiatry Section. I also have visited the Oval Office in the White House several times. When I studied World History at Hillcrest High, I never thought that one day I would meet so many of the famous people that I was learning about. It was a dream fulfilled.
