I joined the Air Force right after High school and was stationed at Holloman AFB (Alamogordo) NM for 2 ½ years before transferring into the New Mexico Air National at Kirkland AFB. A short time later I transferred to the Washington Air National Guard at Fairchild AFB (Spokane). In 1985 I became a full time technician in the Washington Air National Guard. I was activated for Dessert Shield, Dessert Storm, Enduring Freedom and the War on Terrorism. I retired after a total of 32 years of military service.

Served as enlisted for 16 years and after graduating from nursing school got my commission and am currently a MAJ in the 2291st USAH here in Albuquerque. Have seen combat during Desert Shield Storm in 1990, Operation Iraqi Freedom in Iraq in 2004, 2006, 2008-10 and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan in 2013. Still going strong after almost 39 years and hope to make 40 and LTC (God willing) before I leave this earth. Picture pending
